Send an internal email when a QR codes destination becomes unhealthyUpdated 5 hours ago
Use this Shopify Flow template to have an internal email sent whenever the destination of a QR code becomes unhealthy.
Before you start
QuiQR Codes must be installed and active on your Shopify store, and be on the Premier plan.
Shopify Flow must be available on your store so you can import and edit the workflow.
NOTE
An unheathly destination means that when the QR code is scanned you might not end up on the intended page. For example, if a QR code is for a Product page, and the product is archived, made in active, or removed from the online channel, it will be flagged as unhealthy.
Install the workflow
Download the template, then import it into Shopify Flow.
Download Shopify Flow template
Download and extract the file - Download the ZIP folder using the button above, then extract (unzip) it on your computer to get the
.flowfile.
Open Shopify Flow - In your Shopify admin, open Shopify Flow.
Import the workflow - Choose the option to import a workflow, then upload the extracted
.flowfile.
Review the imported steps - After import, confirm that the workflow includes the “Send internal email” action.
Customize the workflow
After importing the template, review and update the workflow settings before turning it on.
Confirm the event name: The default event name is
QuiQR: Unhealthy QR Code destination. Keep it as-is or rename it if you want.Set the “To” email address: The workflow defaults to leaving the “To” email address in “Send internal email” blank, so you will need to set the required email for this template to work.
Turn it on
Save your changes - After updating any workflow settings, save the workflow in Shopify Flow.
Enable the workflow - Turn the workflow on so it can start listening for any QR Codes being flagged as unhealthy.
Test the workflow - Create a QR code with a custom page, provide a fake address, and wait for the checks to be ran, and you should receive an email.
WARNING
Your plan will dictate the frequency of the checks, but it can take some time for the checks to run, as they are scheduled to be processed in chunks.
What this workflow does
Once enabled, the workflow watches for the destination of any QR code becoming unhealthy, and will send an internal email when they do.
