Learn how to create a QR code that can start a phone call. When scanned, this QR code will automatically open the user's native phone app with a defined phone number dialed and ready to call.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open the QuiQR Codes app in your Shopify Admin.

2. Click Create QR Code from the dashboard or the Manage QR Codes screen.

3. Enter a Name for your new QR code.

4. Optional: Enter a Description for internal reference.

5. In the Action drop-down menu, select Phone.

6. Enter the destination phone number into the provided field.

7. Complete the remaining Style settings to customise the look of your QR code, and then click Save.

Ensure the field contains a valid phone number, including the appropriate area or country codes

Verification and Next Steps

To test that you set up your QR code correctly, point your smartphone camera at the generated code on your screen. You should see a prompt to open a link, and tapping it should display the exact phone number you entered within your device's native phone app, ready to dial.
